Lorenzo Lubrano, CEO of the startup Blue Eco Line, recently earned a place among the hundred innovators in Forbes Italy's Under 30 list in the Social Impact category.
Founded at the end of 2018, Blue Eco Line received this commendation thanks to its commitment to protecting the environment through the use of advanced technological solutions.
Each year Forbes Italy selects a hundred young people under 30 who have stood out in their field and shown a strong social, cultural and economic impact. The list is an important showcase for emerging young talent, Italian and international, across various fields, from art to finance, from technology to medicine.
Lorenzo Lubrano earned this important recognition thanks to his commitment, together with partners Camilla Cantiani and Michael Mugnai, in the fight against marine plastic pollution, with particular attention to cleaning rivers. Their company has devoted great effort to developing innovative solutions to tackle this problem, including a fully automated plant designed to remove floating waste from waterways.
It was announced that by spring a pilot of this project would be installed in the municipality of Grosseto, thanks to the generous contribution of Estra Spa, which decided to fund the initiative.
But Blue Eco Line is not limited to removing waste from waterways. Through the use of cameras and dedicated units installed along the waterways, the company can constantly monitor the quality of the water and the river ecosystem. This data is then extracted and analysed by artificial intelligence software that provides useful information for the management and prevention of potential environmental problems.
The startup Blue Eco Line is showing that technological innovation can be a powerful tool for safeguarding water. Thanks to their care for the environment and dedication to their work, Lorenzo Lubrano and his team have proven to be a source of inspiration for young entrepreneurs in creating a positive impact on society and the environment, which is why they were included in Forbes Italy under 30's Social Impact category.
His inclusion in the selection is a positive sign for everyone who believes in the importance of a sustainable and innovative approach to managing our planet's natural resources.
