Florence: The selection of the startups that will join the most coveted Tuscan acceleration programme, the Hubble programme, finally comes to an end. The call, which received over 300 applications, is promoted and organised by Nana Bianca, Fondazione CR Firenze and the Foundation for Research and Innovation of the University of Florence.
This is the 5th Batch, but the aim remains the same: to select and promote the best ideas with high digital impact.
And so, in the splendid Villa Bardini, the winning startups were presented. Each team has a different idea: some digitise role-playing games, some rent apartments via video streaming, some organise online tutoring. All share one feature: the innovativeness of the idea proposed. Although not a “purely digital” startup like the others (we are not developing an app), ours too, Blue Eco Line, was selected among the winners.
We are proud to have had this opportunity. Ahead of us are 20 weeks of “hard, pure Venture Building” in which to define the business strategy and put our team to the test.
The mentors alongside us will know how to show us how best to face the challenges the future holds and will help us reach our first goal: building a pilot plant. The River Cleaner project is in continuous development; it is our intention to launch the first plant as soon as possible. We must not forget that defending the sea from plastic is not a choice, but a duty.
